The things contractors ask first

Do my clients ever pay anything?
No, never. Client portal access is included in your subscription and offered to your clients as part of your service. Unlimited clients, unlimited responsible person logins, AI estate health included. It's what makes your service premium and your contracts sticky.
What counts as an engineer?
A user with an engineer login: someone assigned jobs who completes visit forms in the field. Office and admin users are free, however many you have. Deactivate an engineer who leaves and you stop paying for them from the next billing cycle.
Is there a minimum number of users?
No. A one-engineer company pays £29 a month (£39 at list price), full stop. Most fire-industry platforms require five or more paid users and charge for office staff too; we think that shuts out exactly the firms that deserve better tools.
What happens as my team grows?
Once you have more than a couple of engineers, the price stops being per-head and becomes one flat monthly fee — £59 founding, £69 list — for as many engineers as you run. A ten-engineer firm and a fifty-engineer firm pay exactly the same. There's no runaway bill for growing your team.
What does "founding rate, locked for life" actually mean?
Sign up while the founding window is open and you pay £29 per engineer for your first 2, then a flat £59/month for as long as you're subscribed. Your rate never moves to list price, and it isn't a 12-month teaser. When the founding window closes, new contractors join at the list rate (£39 for their first engineer, then £69/month flat) and the setup fee applies; nothing changes for you.
How does payment work?
Monthly by direct debit, with no annual contract and no lock-in; cancel any time from your account settings. List price is £39 for your first engineer, then a flat £69/month covers the rest of your team. Founding contractors pay £29 for their first 2 engineers, then a flat £59/month, locked for life: you keep that rate for as long as you're subscribed, even after the founding window closes. The £19.99 setup fee is waived while the founding window is open.
Do you cover more than fire alarms?
Yes. FireCompliance Pro covers fire detection & alarm (BS 5839-1:2025 + BAFE SP203-1), emergency lighting (BS 5266-1:2025), evacuation alert systems (BS 8629 + BAFE SP207), domestic fire detection (BS 5839-6) and emergency voice communication (BS 5839-9), each as a first-class discipline with its own service schedule, visit forms and certificates on the same sites, in the same client portal. All disciplines are included in the one plan, with no add-on pricing.
I'm not BAFE registered: is that a problem?
Not at all. Every plan includes the full British Standard certificate sets under the FireCompliance Pro certificate. If you're BAFE registered, submit your registration number and once verified the BAFE certificate types unlock as an option on every job: SP203-1 for fire alarm work, SP207 for evacuation alert, DS301 for domestic fire detection.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
It's your data. Export your certificates, clients, sites and records before you go, and your clients keep copies of every certificate already issued to them. No hostage-taking.
